LEGAZPI CITY: Six people were killed including a public school teacher while 13 others sustained multiple injuries in a vehicular accident in San Rafael village, Castilla town in Sorsogon province on January 27 at 3:45 p.m., according to a report on January 28.
Based on the police report, the Isuzu van bearing plate number CBN 1317, registered to Benjo Garcia and driven by Marlon de Leon Lorenzo, 51, resident of Barangay San Vicente, Gapan City, Nueva Ecija, was traversing from Sorsogon City to Legazpi City while a passenger jeepney with plate number EVF 866 and registered under the name of the driver Rodolfo Licup Jr., 53, a resident of Buenavista village Sorsogon City, traversing the opposite direction collided in San Rafael in Castilla town resulting in the death of six passengers and wounding of 13 others.
