EAST Asia Super League (EASL) chief operation officer Matt Beyer said the league intends to meet with PBA commissioner Willie Marcial and the PBA Board of Governors in the near future to talk about Bay Area's potential second tour of duty in the league following the Dragons' second place finish in the Commissioner's Cup.
Handled by concurrent Australia men's basketball coach Brian Goorjian, Bay Area pushed Barangay Ginebra to a seven-game Finals series before eventually losing in Game 7, 114-99. The Gin Kings went on to crown themselves as Commissioner's Cup champions with a new record 54,589 fans witnessing their coronation at the Philippine Arena in Bocaue, Bulacan.
