THE Human Rights Watch (HRW) has appealed to President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. to issue an immediate and clear directive to all government officials to stop red-tagging Indigenous Peoples (IP) organizations and individuals.

HRW Asia deputy director Phil Robertson said the alleged red-tagging of government officials to IPs contributes to making the Philippines one of Asia's most dangerous countries for environmental activists and land defenders.
