Better job terms for security guards pushed

A BILL has been filed in the House of Representatives that seeks to institutionalize the labor rights and employment benefits of security guards.

In his bill, Davao City First District Representative Paolo Duterte said that security officers and other private security personnel must be eligible for benefits including overtime pay, social security, 13th-month pay, retirement benefits and service incentive leave in addition to salaries that are at least at the national minimum wage.
