NAUJAN, Oriental Mindoro: Due to the recent flooding that caused heavy damage to the town's agriculture and infrastructure, the municipal government of Naujan has declared a state of calamity and is asking for immediate assistance from the national government.
In an interview with the radio program "Hagupit ng Dos por Dos sa Radyo" aired over DWXR-FM co-hosted by this correspondent, Vice Mayor Great de los Reyes said that upon the recommendation of the Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council, the Municipal Council passed a resolution declaring the entire municipality under a state of calamity.
