THE Manila Times, in partnership with Aboitiz Power, will hold an online forum titled 'Building Energy Security through Innovation' on Thursday, January 26.

Moderated by Times columnist Ben Kritz, the event from 2 p.m. to 4 p.m.will be livestreamed on the Times' official Facebook page, as well as its Youtube, and Dailymotion channels.

The forum's guests are Charlie Ayco, chairman and CEO of WeGen Laudato Si' Inc.; Monalisa Dimalanta, chairman and CEO of Energy Regulatory Commission; John Knorring, chief executive officer of Green Tiger Markets; Joseph Lacson, chief investment officer of AboitizPower's; and Rolando Paulino Jr., president of Philippine Energy Independence Council.

'There are really some good things happening in the energy sector that will increase the amount and diversity of our power, moderate prices, and better protect consumers,' Kritz said.

'We don't have all the answers, and there's still a lot of problems to solve, but I think it would be good for people to know that there is some progress. So I'd like them to feel at least a little bit more optimistic by the time we're through.' he added.
