'We will have new passengers aboard the LRT-2!' the rapid transit line tweeted in Filipino.

No details were available on when the new policy will take effect.

In 2021, the Manila Metro Rail Transit System Line 3 or MRT-3 started allowing domesticated dogs, cats and birds to board its trains provided the animals are kept inside pet carriers with a maximum size of 2 ft. by 2 ft., while birds must be carried in a cage.
