DICT, NCT and telcos start assisted SIM registration

To enable owners of subscriber identification modules in far flung or remote areas across the country to register their respective SIM cards, the Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) on Wednesday officially launched their three-day roll out of the government and telco assisted mandatory registration.

DICT Spokesperson and Undersecretary Anna Mae Yu Lamentillo said that four weeks into the SIM registration, the government has reached more than 24 million successful registrations.
