Heart disease top cause of death in 2022 – PSA

HEART disease was the leading cause of death among Filipinos in 2022, the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) said.

Ischemic heart disease, which is caused by narrowed arteries, caused 77,173 deaths in the country from January to September 2022. This represents 18.5 percent of the total deaths in the country.
