UNTIL October 2015, the US State Department was issuing the monthly Visa Bulletin with only two charts showing the cutoff dates on both the family-sponsored and employment-based categories.
The cut-off date shows when an immigrant visa applicant's priority date is current. The priority date is the date when a visa petition for a family member was received and acknowledged by the US Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS).
