THE peso gained further against the dollar on Friday but the stock market faltered for a mixed close to the trading week.
The currency strengthened by nine centavos to P54.54:$1, a result that Rizal Commercial Banking Corporation (RCBC) chief economist Michael Ricafort noted came ahead of next week's announcement of 2022 gross domestic product (GDP) growth data.
