(UPDATE) DAVOS, Switzerland: President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. said during his meeting with World Economic Forum (WEF) President Børge Brende here that the Philippines is not inclined to militaristic solutions to territorial disputes, adding it "will end badly for everyone involved."

"There is no point the Philippines building up its armory. First, we are not in an economic situation that we are able to build up to the levels that the Americans had, to the levels that the Chinese have, and more importantly perhaps is our abiding belief that the solutions are not going to be military," Marcos said when asked if he would double the Philippines' defense budget similar to what Japan is doing amid the threat of China and North Korea.
