A SUGAR producers' group on Thursday backed the government's plan to import 450,000 metric tons of sugar this year.
But it stressed that the Sugar Regulatory Administration (SRA) should schedule the releases of the imported sweeteners, to ensure that mill-gate prices will not be affected.
