CALAPAN CITY, Oriental Mindoro: A meeting of village presidents of senior citizens turned into a protest action as disgruntled members of the associations lament the delayed release of their social pension due November 2022 and other issues besetting the sector.

Imelda Dacillo said in the gathering that they have asked the others to attend the meeting for them to raise their concerns not only about the delayed release of the pension but the alleged 'politicization' and 'polarization' of their sector as the community affairs department of the city government had been organizing a new group of senior citizens in the village that are known supporters of the incumbent Mayor Malou Morillo.
