LONDON: British food-to-clothing retailer Marks and Spencer (M&S) on Monday announced plans to open more than 3,400 new jobs, thanks to store openings, following sizable shop closures and job losses during the coronavirus pandemic.

In a statement, M&S said it would open 20 new large stores across the United Kingdom. This comes after the company axed 7,000 jobs as the UK endured Covid lockdowns.
