BANGKOK: Companies from at least 13 countries have helped Myanmar raise its capacity to produce weapons that are being used to commit atrocities following a coup nearly two years ago, independent international experts have found.

A report released by the Special Advisory Council for Myanmar on Monday details how the Southeast Asian country has stepped up arms production since its military seized power on Feb. 1, 2021, igniting a mass opposition movement.
