'Register SIM cards now, avoid deactivation'

THE Department of Information and Communications Technology (DICT) on Monday reminded the public to register their respective subscriber identification module (SIM) cards before the deadline or risk having their numbers deactivated.

In a statement, the DICT, along with the National Telecommunications Commission (NTC), said that the deadline of SIM registration, which will fall on April 26, 2023, is based on the law and cannot be rescheduled.
