Peso gains anew; PSEi advances to 7,000 level

THE stock market returned to the 7,000 level and the peso further gained against the dollar on Monday for a strong start to the trading week.

The benchmark Philippine Stock Exchange index (PSEi) added 93.94 points, or 1.35 percent, to close at 7,045.48, the highest since April 20, 2022's 7,142.42.
