Court rejects RCBC bid to junk cyberheist case

NEW YORK state's Supreme Court has rejected Rizal Commercial Banking Corp.'s (RCBC) motion to dismiss a case filed by Bangladesh's central bank over a 2016 cyberheist.

'In a decision and order released... 14 January 2023, the Supreme Court of the State of New York, the first instance trial court, denied the motions to dismiss filed by RCBC, and its current and previous employee defendants,' the Yuchengco-led bank said in a disclosure on Monday.
