King cobra caught, then released into the wild

TUGUEGARAO CITY, Cagayan: The Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) in Cagayan Valley has confirmed that a snake that it caught on Tuesday inside a cabinet in a classroom at General Balao Elementary School here is a deadly king cobra.

Jovencio Payba, DENR-Cagayan Valley Development Management Officer 3, said they responded to the report from the natural resources and environment sub-office in Solana on the presence of the snake in the school.
