BACO, Oriental Mindoro: The local government led by Mayor Allan Roldan did not push through in placing Baco town under a state of calamity after relief goods from external sources led by the Philippine Ports Authority (PPA) were given to residents on Tuesday.
In a confirmation on Friday, Roldan told The Manila Times that he did not push through with his request to the Sangguniang Bayan (municipal council) because of the immediate aid received by the town.
