Baguio's accredited lodgings can accommodate 30,000 visitors

BAGUIO CITY: The City Tourism Operations Office disclosed that the 985 accommodation establishments permitted by the city government to take in guests can accommodate approximately 30,000 guests daily in preparation for forthcoming festivals and the summer break.

However, Supervising Tourism Operations Officer Aloysius Mapalo admitted that the number of permitted hotels, inns and transient houses does not reflect the real number of operating establishments in the city because of some illegal accommodations in some villages.
