12 emission testing centers suspended

THE Land Transportation Office (LTO) has ordered a 90-day suspension of operations of 12 private emission testing centers (PETCs) for allegedly falsifying results of the examination of vehicles.

Pursuant to the directive of LTO Chief Assistant Secretary Jose Arturo 'Jay Art' Tugade, the Intelligence and Investigation Division (IID) launched a series of operations against several emission testing centers.
