(UPDATE) PRESIDENT Ferdinand "Bongbong" Marcos Jr. has appointed former Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) chief Eduardo Año as his new national security adviser, Malacañang announced Saturday.
Año, who served as secretary of the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) under the Duterte administration, replaced Professor Clarita Carlos, who stepped down from her post to join the Congressional Policy and Budget Research Department (CPBRD) of the House of Representatives.
