THE Department of Information and Communications Technology on Friday announced that five of its projects had been nominated for the 2023 World Summit on Information Society (WSIS) Prizes.

In a statement posted on social media, the DICT identified the projects and categories as the Capacity building - Digital Upskilling Program for Filipinos; Building Confidence and Security in Use of ICTs - Cybersecurity Education in the Philippines in the Face of New Normal Adversities; The Role of Governments and All Stakeholders in the Promotion of ICTs for Development - Digital Governance Awards; C2. Information and Communication Infrastructure - Bridging and Overcoming Network and E-Service Challenges in Mindoro, Marinduque, Romblon and Palawan; and Enabling Environment-Empowering Lives in Prisons through Information and Communication Technologies.
