THERE are some articles I read over the last two weeks or so that I recommend to my readers. As I am not a clipping service who wants to get paid for pasting others' work without permission, please look them up yourselves. While many are behind paywalls as quality journalism does cost something, there is usually free access to a limited amount of articles. Please consider reading from the January 6 New York Times — though unfortunately this article is for subscribers only — Paul Krugman's "What Ukraine Teaches Us About Power." As is his January 10 column, "Can We Really Have a Soft Landing?" Spoiler alert — yes, possibly. From December 12 of The Atlantic, there is the very profound and important article of Yuval Noah Harari, "The End of New Peace." On YouTube there is a very informative video from PolyMatter on Norway's sovereign wealth fund, titled "Why Oil Doesn't Corrupt Norway," which is the largest and, overall, the most successful sovereign wealth fund. I hope you can access them.
