THE peso and the stock market exchanged directions on Thursday, the latter posting a rebound after two days of declines and the currency slipping back to P55:$1 territory.

The benchmark Philippine Stock Exchange index (PSEi) gained 124.19 points, or 1.85 percent, to close at 6,833.53 while the broader All Shares followed suit with a 48.58-point or 1.37-percent rise to 3,588.04.
