LA TRINIDAD, Benguet: Cordillera Police Regional Director BGen. Mafelino Bazar announced that a total of 92 gun violators were arrested and 1,149 assorted firearms were accounted for in calendar year 2022 as a result of the Cordillera Police Regional Office's intensified campaign against loose firearms.

Based on the records from the Regional Operations Division for the period covered, Kalinga Provincial Police Office (PPO) has the highest number of accomplishments with 26 arrests and 19 filed cases in court followed by Abra PPO with 25 arrests and 21 filed cases, Baguio City Police Office (BCPO) with 13 arrests and eight filed cases, Mountain Province PPO with 11 arrests and 6 filed cases, Benguet PPO with nine arrests and nine filed cases, Apayao PPO with six arrests and six filed cases, and Ifugao PPO with two arrests and two filed cases in court.
