THE Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) on Wednesday warned residents in Visayas, Mindanao and the Bicol Region to take extra precaution against possible flooding and landslides brought about by non-stop rainfall.

Pagasa weather forecaster Patrick del Mundo told The Manila Times that the rain caused by the shear line – the point where the cold and warm air converge – and a low pressure area (LPA) may cause flooding and landslides in these areas.
