Manila Electric Co. (Meralco) on Tuesday said it would proceed with direct talks for a 200-MW baseload energy requirement after no challenge was submitted in the second round of the competitive selection process (CSP) for Solar Philippine Batangas Baseload Corp.'s (SPBBC) unsolicited proposal.
SPBBC wants to provide the capacity using solar and battery facilities in compliance with Meralco's Renewable Portfolio Standards requirement.
