India's Pride marchers call for same-sex marriage rights

NEW DELHI: Hundreds of people took part in the first Delhi Queer Pride march in three years on Sunday as pressure grows for legal recognition of same-sex marriage in India.

The South Asian's top court is due to hear in March a raft of petitions from gay couples seeking the same marital rights as heterosexual ones, five years after it struck down a colonial-era ban on gay sex.
