AFP dispels destabilization plot as PNP goes on full alert

THE Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) and the Philippine National Police (PNP) dispelled rumors of a destabilization plot against the Marcos government following the courtesy resignations of top police officials and the sudden replacement of the military chief.

Both Col. Jorry Baclor and Col. Medel Aguilar, AFP public affairs office chief and spokesman respectively, denied there was such a plot as they claimed that the situation at the Camp Aguinaldo military headquarters in Quezon City was normal.
