IMPORTED onions that were smuggled in are being mixed with ukay-ukay or second-hand clothing and other dry goods to avoid detection, according to a farmers' group.
In a radio interview Friday, Samahang Industriya ng Agrikultura (Sinag) President Rosendo So said illegally imported onion bulbs were discovered last month inside a shipping container loaded with ukay-ukay at the Port of Manila.
