Feuding tribes told to stand down

BONTOC, Mountain Province: The members of the Provincial Peace and Order Council here called for sobriety amid the brewing tension between feuding tribes from Barangay Bugnay in Tinglayan, Kalinga and Barangay Betwagan in Sadanga, Mountain Province.

The two villages had been at odds with each other over tribal boundary issues. They were on talking terms to peacefully settle their disagreement, but an unfortunate incident happened within the disputed area on Dec. 28, 2022. This then disrupted the peace process.
