5 villages in Mindoro Oriental isolated

BACO, Oriental Mindoro: At least five barangay (villages) in this town remain isolated as a result of continuous rains in the mountainous part of the municipality.

On Thursday, Jan. 5, 2023, Mayor Allan Roldan suspended all classes in all levels in both public and private schools 'to ensure the safety and protection of learners and personnel from unnecessary physical dangers that they may be exposed to during natural disasters and calamities.'
