CHIEF Justice Alexander Gesmundo ordered on Friday the suspension of work in the Supreme Court on January 9, Monday in view of the celebration of the Feast of the Black Nazarene.

In Memorandum Order 2-2023, Gesmundo noted the expected heavy traffic in the vicinity of the Supreme Court compound in the corner of Padre Faura Street and Taft Avenue in Ermita because of the several road closures in the city of Manila brought about by the annual religious event.
