THE Department of Health (DoH) has clarified that intensified border control measures that the Philippines imposed recently did not single out passengers coming from China or Chinese passengers, but all arrivals from all countries.
Health Officer in Charge Maria Rosario Vergeire issued an "extremely urgent" Department Memorandum 2022-0578 on December 31 mandating DoH Center for Health Development directors to ensure continuous coordination with other agencies, inter-governmental bodies and local government units to monitor and provide assistance to the stepped-up implementation of border protocols at all ports of entry.
