THE Department of Agriculture (DA) banned the importation of chicken and other poultry products from Poland, Ireland, Denmark, Czech Republic, Chinese Taipei, Ecuador, Moldova, and Peru amid the outbreak of avian influenza (AI).

In separate memorandum orders, Agriculture Senior Undersecretary Domingo Panganiban said that covered by the temporary ban are domestic and wild birds and their products, including poultry meat, day-old chicks, and semen.
