NVizcaya organic farmers accredited

KAYAPA, Nueva Vizcaya: Organic farmers in this town were finally accredited as the first Region 2 (Cagayan Valley) community-based inspectors and accreditors of their fellow farmers in compliance with set standards for organic farming.

According to the Department of Agriculture-Bureau of Agriculture and Fisheries Standards (DA-BAFS), the Kayapa PGS Group is now officially a Participatory Guarantee System Organic Certifying Body (PGS-OCB) after it was issued a certificate of accreditation (COA).
