2 Metro Manila mayors back Abalos 'resign' call to police

TWO Metro Manila mayors on Thursday threw their support to the call of Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) Secretary Benjamin 'Benhur' Abalos Jr. for police colonels and generals to submit courtesy resignation amid reports that some were directly involved in the illegal drug trade.

Caloocan City Mayor Dave Gonzalo 'Along' Malapitan and Valenzuela City Mayor Weslie 'Wes' Gatchalian signified their support during separate interviews with The Manila Times.
