Mixed start to 2023 for peso, stock market

THE stock market and the peso saw a mixed start to the year with the latter said to have weighed down by latest economic news and bullishness having lifted share prices.

The benchmark Philippine Stock Exchange index (PSEi) ended the first trading day of 2023 in the green, advancing 19.62 points, or 0.30 percent, to settle at 6,586.01.
