CALAPAN CITY, Oriental Mindoro: Due to the lack of funds to purchase additional fuel and the end of the commercial operation of a power plant operated by the National Power Corp. (NPC), the Occidental Mindoro Electric Cooperative (Omeco) is asking the help of the Oriental Mindoro Electric Cooperative (Ormeco).

In a letter dated Dec. 29, 2022 addressed to Ormeco general manager Engr. Humphrey Dolor, Omeco project supervisor and acting general manager Cesar Faeldon said that the lone power provider Occidental Mindoro Consolidated Power Corp. informed them their fuel could only last up to Dec. 29, 2022, and they lack funds for the purchase of additional fuel.
