FARMERS' group Samahang Industriya ng Agrikultura (Sinag) President Rosendo So on Sunday said that the retail prices of rice could further go up in 2023 after a P2 per kilo increase in December 2022.
In a radio interview, So said that while he expects a stable supply of the staple food in the next two weeks, movement in the cost of the grains should be expected amid the increase in the farm gate price of palay (unhusked rice).
