ILOCOS Norte Gov. Matthew Marcos Manotoc led the provincial local government unit in officially welcoming BuhaWind Energy's investment for starting the development and operation of an offshore wind farm in the province that will approximately generate 2,000 megawatts (MW).
The project will involve the erection of wind turbine generators of about 15- to 20-MW capacity each in the waters off Burgos, Bangui and Pagudpud towns, with a target commercial operation by 2028 to 2030.
