THE Department of Agriculture (DA) lifted the importation ban on cured pork meat products and animal proteins from Italy after it restricted the entry of live swine and their products on Jan. 31, 2022, due to outbreaks of African swine fever (ASF) in the said country.
Agriculture Senior Undersecretary Domingo Panganiban signed Memorandum Circular 46 dated Dec. 28, 2022, authorizing the resumption in the importation of cured pork meat products from Italy.
