Jilin's black soil, seed efforts strengthen agri

CHANGCHUN, Jilin: Northeastern Jilin province, an important commodity grain base in China, has been developing a modern farming system for several years to strengthen its agriculture.

Thanks to efforts in what is called black soil conservation, seed industry development and industry chain upgrading, among others, it has logged record grain production in recent years.
