LAST Saturday, Mitsubishi Motors Philippines published a half-page print ad for five "senior experts" on automotive assembly operations, digital marketing and quality control in The Philippine Star (2022).The ad caught my attention for three reasons: One, it appears to show that the social media is not enough to attract the attention of job applicants.
Two, applicants must have strong writing skills in Japanese. And three, the ad requires the expertise of applicants in safety, quality, cost, delivery, compliance and 4M (man, material, machine, method) analysis. I asked the insights of a senior ranking human resource (HR) executive from a competing auto assembly plant.
