DoST, partner HEIs conduct writeshop for MisOcc researchers

TO further enhance the researchers' capabilities in writing patent applications, a patent claims writeshop was conducted at La Salle University (LSU)-Ozamiz on Nov. 28 and 29, 2022. There were 40 researchers from various higher education institutions (HEIs) in Misamis Occidental who participated in the event.

The patent granting procedure and patent claim drafting were among the highlights during the writeshop before the participants worked on drafting their own patent claims for their technologies to be submitted immediately to the Intellectual Property Office of the Philippines (IPOPHL). Twelve utility model applications have been submitted at the end of the two-day writeshop.
