PRESIDENT Ferdinand 'Bongbong' Marcos Jr. on Sunday has directed the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) to immediately conduct relief operations in provinces in the Visayas and Mindanao affected by flooding brought by nonstop rains due to a shear line, Malacañang said.

According to the Office of the Press Secretary (OPS), DSWD field offices in Regions 8 (Eastern Visayas) and 10 (Northern Mindanao) have started distributing family food packs to residents in affected areas in Eastern Samar, Misamis Oriental, Misamis Occidental, Camiguin and Bukidnon.
