907 typhoon-stricken families in Batanes get aid

THE National Housing Authority (NHA) has given a total of P10.95 million in cash assistance through its Emergency Housing Assistance Program (EHAP) to 907 families that were directly displaced by Super Typhoon 'Kiko' in Batanes.

The super typhoon, which took place in September, hit the Cagayan Valley Region and became the strongest storm to affect Batanes although there was no reported casualty, but a large number of residents were displaced and evacuated.
